#761² WHY WE NEED GOALS

Whatever we do, we do it for a reason.

You don’t believe me? Well, then tell me one thing you do without having a reason for doing it? Ok, you got it? Perfect. Now tell me three reasons why you do not have reasons for doing it and there you have it, your reasons.

But the need for a reason is not necessarily a bad thing. In fact, it makes life much easier. If we do not see the point in doing something, we just do not do it. Basta! But once we have found our reasons, well, we can do everything.

We do not need goals.

There is this ideology inside of our minds that tells us that we need goals in life, when in fact we do not need them after all. Life goes on no matter what we do! The clock never stops. But of course I do not want to tell you to forget everything you have learned about goals! No, in fact, I want you to have goals, many of them! I want you to write down what you want and reach it the time after. But first of all, it’s important to understand what it actually means to have goals in life.

There are thousands of ways how to do stuff, sure, but somehow we have stopped to look for our own way towards things. Somewhere down the road we have stopped to be creative and follow others most of the time. And so, when I mention the word “goal”, certain things come to mind. Money, fame, a huge house, a family, helping others, do what you love and all the other things. I am not saying that those goals are wrong, but we need to make sure that the goals on your list are the right goals for you!

Do you want it because you want it, or because you think you want it?

Goals are great. They keep us walking through the desert. But only, if we have the right goals. Only if whatever we desire is the right thing we should desire.

See you next time!
