Social media for employees and employers? What sounds like a good idea is in fact a very good idea. Allowing people from all over the world to connect on a professional level. What can we ask more for? The idea is brilliant!

The only problem? Our society.

People are, I do not even know how to describe them without sounding rude, a bit ignorant maybe? We are getting born into this world and believe that we are the epicenter of it all. Well, as it seems, this is not the case. But not many of us are able to figure that out on their own. And so you can hardly scroll through LinkedIn professionally without falling into a deep laughter from time to time. From those strange people posting their CV’s online as if that had helped anyone finding a job, to the way people are describing their work experiences. I guess people on LinkedIn are a bit different to the average social media user, but not far away. Therefor, the same rules do apply. If you don’t believe me, check it out yourself.

Some people might call this unfair and not respectful, but that is how the system works. Either you want to be a part of the system or you don’t. Sure, there is also the alternative of the middle that the most LinkedIn users are choosing, me included, but then we can also just stop using social media all together.

Well! Let’s just all do what we want.

See you next time!
