It’s really just that, one step at a time.

The fastest and most efficient way to get from point A to point B in life is a straight line, at least if we are ignoring the existence of black holes for a minute. But without actually taking the next step, knowing about the shortest route isn’t much of a help, is it?

The honest answer is that shortcuts don’t exist. If you want to reach the next level you have to go all the way. And with all the way I really mean all the way. One step at a time but definitely all the steps there are. Life is kind of a game with us improving on our way.

And what happens with people that have found a loophole in the system is clear as well. They all have to learn the lessons they have missed, the only difference, it now hurts much more.
