The end of the 2022 season is closing in. 2022 a year to forget? At least on the racing part of things. With my health issues preventing me from any normal practice routine, 2022 represents the worst year of my racing life. The only positive thing about it? The next year can only get better!

It wasn’t all terribly wrong, though, I had a lot of time to dig deeper into the theoretical part of the equation. I read about some useful subjects, I gained a better understanding about the physiological part of the job and last but not least spend a lot of time driving to and back from work. Agreed, driving in normal traffic shouldn’t be counted as a real practice, but driving 50 minutes to work early in the morning does give you a great opportunity to practice. Not only can you practice driving in the night and or in difficult weather conditions, but you can also practice your mirror work and feeling for what is going on around your car.

Even thought the year isn’t over yet, I can already write it off. My health is getting better, no doubt about that, but it’s still far away from being ready to push hard on the simulator again.

See you next time!
