It’s not that life isn’t challenging enough already, but isn’t life about dreaming big but doing even bigger? Well, at least that is my interpretation of things. Normal was never an option for me. And so, after a couple of month consideration I decided that I should get a private pilot license. Not right now of course, I am busy with other things, but somewhere in the next 10 years.

Normal people would figure out what they want and then just do it. Looking for a flying school or club and learn how to fly. Well, I am different though. And so the challenge is this. Can I learn everything there is to know about flying before actually starting the whole process of doing my license? If my theory is right, everything in life can get broken down into smaller steps. Steps you can easily master one after the other. Well, I guess we will see how this is going to work. The simulator is ready, there are good books about the topic, there are videos online, oh and one of my friends from the US is a pilot himself. This will help as well.

So how is this going from now on? I will become a pilot. First in my mind, then in real life. Why? Because it’s just so much fun to think yourself into a new topic. To learn, to absorb knowledge, to think about a process from start to finish. It’s not time efficient, I know, but it’s not about efficiency, it’s about having fun in life.
