It’s the one thing that really goes on my nerves. People on the Autobahn behave exactly the way they go through life. Slow and fearsome, fast and reckless, wild and not in control. Not that I would have anything to complain about wouldn’t it be my chosen way to go through life as effortlessly and effectively as possible without standing in anybodies way.

On Sunday was such a day. Sunday, the holy day of the autobahn community. No trucks on the road, it’s heaven on earth. The only problem? There are living too many egoistic people in this country. People that can not imagine that there might be other people behind. People that want to come far in life. People that have a faster pace. What is so difficult about overtaking on the left and going back to the right lane? What is so difficult about using those fancy mirrors and checking if the other lane is free? Is this really too much to ask for?

Sometimes I really feel frustrated. We are all loosing time. But not because there is too much traffic, just because of some people who can not even swim with the current. If you want to drive slow, hey, you are welcome! But please do that in the right lane. If you do not feel like the Autobahn is something for you, also fine. Take the train, the bus, let someone else drive. If you have your bikes on top or behind your car, maybe the left lane isn’t for you. It’s really not that difficult.

But apparently it is. One thing is clear! Next time I avoid the midday sun. I enjoy driving in the early morning or the late evening. That’s were you will see a lot less idiots on the road. Some say because they are still sleeping but that’s hopefully not the real reason.
