It’s when a cyclist is training the biceps, a runner practicing cycling, a soccer player trying out fencing. It’s definitely better than doing nothing, but does unspecific training has a benefit besides the fun of doing something new or different?
Unspecific training is the go to activity if your workout or training has became long and boring. If you feel like it’s no longer fun to do your sport and there is nothing that can surprise you it is time for a change! Try unspecific training! Just don’t do too much of it.
It works because we are doing something new, using different parts of our body, have more fun and variety in what we are doing all day long. Try it yourself. It works! And once the motivational boost is gone, look for something new, mix up different sports, you will figure something out to get the same effect all over again.
See you next time!
