Finally it’s official. I will leave Magna and go to Audi.
I can still not believe it myself. Give me some more time to process it all in my head. This can’t be real, can it? Me? To Audi? Let’s start at the beginning.
After looking for a job in the midst of the covid pandemic two years ago, it wasn’t easy to find a job that would suit my requirements. I was grateful that Magna gave me a chance. Of course it was a lot of work. Of course the first year was incredibly hard. But I have fought my way through it. I have taught myself the things I needed to know, I have asked the right people and have built up my skill set. Of course I knew that I wouldn’t stay at Magna forever, but at least in my mind I wanted to stay a bit longer to be honest. I wanted to have a bit more experience before moving on. Well, sometimes life has different plans.
There was this opportunity to apply for a job and I did just that. True, it was a bit easier for me keeping the work relationship with Audi in mind, we support Audi in the project I am currently working in, but nevertheless, there were a lot of other applicants for the position. Call it what you want, I will just tell you how I did it. It was always a dream of me to work for Audi one day. My dad was always driving an Audi during my childhood, I myself drive an Audi right now, it’s the company I want to support. A company I can identify with. That’s why I woke up every day imagining being a part of the Audi team. Of course that was easy, working for Audi in the project already, but I was still on the other side of the fence. Well, things lead to one another. The people noticed my passion for what I do and so they gave me a chance.
After my four weeks off in August I will spend my last month at Magna in September before changing to AUDI on the 1st of October. I can’t wait to work there!
See you next time!
