Pick whatever generation you like and you will always find another generation complaining about them. By the way, this doesn’t only work for the younger generation, it also works for the older one. The reason behind it all is clear. Envy!

At a definite time in life there are certain chances. But they are not for everyone. Some may have already committed themselves to a different life. And that’s where the problems are starting. People from different backgrounds and experiences, which the generational gap clearly offers, have a different opinion about what is going on around them. With my current 28 years of life experience I have a different view on the world compared to a 18 year old or an 68 year old, but even within my generation the opinions differ a lot. Of course they do, all the decisions we took so far lead us to this very moment. And here is the point, it’s more obvious to look at the problem from a generation to generation perspective, but in reality it doesn’t even matter when you were born. The chances are never the same. So people will automatically envy what they don’t have. They couldn’t travel, they couldn’t work remotely, they couldn’t be that independent from where they have come from. So the real problem of a generation doesn’t exist? No! There are some main issues, let’s call them this way, that affect the most of a generation in particular. This can be an international crisis, a new technology, a covid 19 pandemic, or whatever you want to choose. Generations are different, but people within the same generation can also be quite different. So I wouldn’t generalize it that easy. We always have to look at the big picture and consider all the effects.
See you next time!
