Life is this ever changing world. Not only is the world around us changing, we are also changing. I guess I am growing up now, having other things in mind? Ok, not really, I am still on my mission, but the way motorsport is not changing to the better makes me angry. Everything needs to improve over time, so what are they missing? Honestly, it’s quite easy to say. They are making things too complicated for people to understand. Motorsport needs to be simple. When I am watching a race, for example the new GT3 DTM series of course I understand what is going on, but we can’t expect from others to also understand it. They watch it and do not really get the message. They just see cars driving in circles. Ok, that’s exactly what is going on, but there is more to the game. Motorsport needs to get back to the times when an average person understood what was going on. All those engineering and the like is quite cool, but it makes it so uncomfortable expensive. Of course motorsport is expensive, but it doesn’t need to be that expensive. Well, I guess at the end of the day they do not even try to increase their visibility and stick to their old plan.
