#1519² SORRY, BUT NOT SORRY – S4 E10 – PEOPLE AT CARPARKS

Once in a while every motorists journey ends at some kind of a carpark. We have all been there, it’s not that big of a deal. At least if there are no other people. I do not even want to talk about the high prices for parking in Germany these days, the people there is more than enough. But see for yourself.

If you take the worlds population you can divide them into three groups of people. The first group parks their car as close as possible to the place they want to go. The second group parks their car as safe as possible far away from the group one and three. And the third groups just parks the car, they do not know where, they do not know next to whom, they have other things in mind.

I am one of the chaps from category two. My parking spot is well analyzed, far away from anyone else, somewhere where there is nothing besides my car. The only problem? That’s only when I leave my car, not when I arrive. When I go back to my car there is always someone parking next to me. And with next to me I really mean next to me. What in the world is this person thinking, ah, right, group three, the person is not thinking, but what in the world are they doing? Don’t they get it, oh, right, group three, they don’t get it. AHHHHHHH! But that’s never the worst thing, is it? The worst thing are the people running around on the carpark. They see that you are backing out of the parking space but that doesn’t have any effect on their lives. They keep on walking, they keep on blocking the road, they keep on chatting with their parking neighbor. Is it just me having a problem with that? This can’t be just me! But what is worse is how other people drive around the damn parking space. They can’t just drive, like normal people would do, no, they are so slow, you are not sure what is going on in their head and they are driving so wrong, that someone might think they are suffering from health issue. You could honk and overtake, but we all know that we would never do that. They could crash into us, and honestly we really don’t want to talk with those people after all. So we keep our temper for ourself or the people in our car and practice being patient. It will get over, they will find a way out of there. But that’s the next thing that is so annoying. People don’t get it, do they? Some of them seem to struggle with solving the most easiest of problems. Agreed, some parking spaces are not that intuitive, but come one, you have been there a thousand times already! You know the way around it! Your tires know the way! Your rims know the curbs! Your back knows the poles. You should be quite familiar with this place!

See you next time!
