It’s not a 911. I guess that’s the only disadvantage we can find today. The rest sounds to good to be true. When thinking about our potential dream car, of course we have all those great ideas in mind. But honestly, the reality looks different! What do we really need? A car with four wheels, a seat, a steering wheel, a bit of space for the weekly grocery shopping tour and of course a naturally aspirated flat six boxer engine with 4.0 liters.

The Porsche 718 isn’t a small car. It looks like one, true. But compared to the 911 it’s not that much smaller. Yes, it has just two seats. But the most of the time we drive alone anyways, right? And I am single. A two seater car is more than sufficient. And there is lots of space for all my stuff. Of course it’s not a family van but if you need that just get a Porsche SUV or Panamera.

The best thing about the Cayman GTS 4.0 is that it’s kind of a sleepers car. It looks like any other 718. So nobody will envy you for driving an expensive version like they will do when you show up with that mighty GT4 RS or even just the GT4. Oh, and it’s not a 911 either. So they will not necessarily put you in that box as well.

But listing to this engine sound is like listening to music. Honestly, I didn’t had the GTS 4.0 anywhere on my list. But now that I have dived deep into the concept it’s a really cool option as a plan C in my current plan. Well, we will see!
