Thinks come and go. Nothing stays forever. What is true for all walks of live is especially right in the automotive world of the 21st century. There is a change happening, a change the most of us don’t really understand. It’s not primarily the e-mobility that will be the show stopper. It’s the introduction of high tech equipment and the way people think about cars.

For a long time, there were always two groups of people. People that want to get from point A to point B and people that care about cars. The amount of people caring gets smaller day by day. The new generation, a disappointment? Not necessarily, they are different. Growing up with smartphones and tablets, the source of energy isn’t really on their mind. A fuel burning engine no longer a speciality, it’s a statement, some might even say a burden. And so people buy cares because of the big screens insight. They want to be connected. Not miss a thing while being on the road.

The challenges of the 21st century mobility aren’t easy to handle. There are a lot of things that could go wrong. And apparently, they are going very wrong sometimes. The quality of a brand is no longer a question of the hardware, it’s the software that makes the difference. And so, speaking about an “analog” car seems to be the way to go. But not too analog of course. You want the apple car play thing, don’t you? Honestly, yes! But I don’t want all those distracting screens! I don’t need all these fancy touch things and haptic feedback nonsense. I want to push a button! Call me old school!

There is a line you shouldn’t cross! Not a physical line in this world, more a mental obstacle. Stick to what you like no matter what they say. Electric cars aren’t bad entirely, fuel burning flat six boxer engines aren’t awesome all the time! It always depends on your perspective. Of course If I am the dude firing up the GT3 in the morning it’s awesome, but if it’s your neighbor, a totally different story! We shouldn’t allow them to influence us all the time. Cars are great for a long time! Big mistakes weren’t made in a while. So if it’s really just about getting from A to B, every Porsche will make the trip! It depends on what you want to be seen in!
