Even though your sport might not have an actual off season, it’s still a pretty good idea to include it! Taking time off is one thing, but building up a foundation is something else entirely. It’s the time we lack the most. Time to focus on things that we should work on but never really do. For me, it’s became a natural process over time. Once the days are getting shorter and the sun disappears way too early I start taking a short time off before starting into the off season.
You can plan a lot, but things will stand in your way anyways. That’s why this years program needs to look a bit different. I want to get fit again. With fit meaning completely healthy. On Friday I will get my results for the knee, I hope it’s nothing and will go again soon. If that’s the case I will start doing a new sport program that will focus on enjoying the process and doing fun activities. There is nothing won by injuring myself again. I need to get the basics right!
