No matter how practical or useful your goals might be, a goal is a goal, the end of the story. Too often I find myself worrying about the wrong things in life. I wonder if my goals are any good. For me personally, but also for the rest of us. But isn’t that the wrong approach? Isn’t my goal just a goal that I can achieve no matter what the rest of us think?
Well, technically there is a problem with that. Of course our personal goals shouldn’t harm the rest of us. It’s always something within the harmony of the world around us. Nevertheless, a goal is just a goal, can be just a goal, just a step on our way towards something bigger, better or brighter. Or, as the alternative, a goal isn’t just a goal. It’s a part of who we are. The goal to run a marathon tells us something about this person that believes it makes sense to run for hours without an end. But who knows, maybe that person will never actually reach this goal. How does it affect us? As long as this dude is not trying to steal our loved ones, why would we care? And true, there are too many goals of too many people. We don’t have time for that. So, why do we worry so much about our own goals and how they will find its place into the world around us? Shouldn’t this be the other way? We set our goals and through the process of reaching them we change the world around us?
See you next time!
