Considering the amount of effort racing teams put into the preparation of their cars, everyday race cars can not be as difficult. In fact, what does a 700 hp car brings you on a rainy day with cold summer tires? A lot of fun? Everyday life race cars need to be different. They need to perform under any weather condition, any temperature, any road condition. There was a time when I was looking for the perfect everyday life car. But the only thing I could figuring out was this, the perfect car doesn’t exist. It’s always a combination of opposite interests. One thing is good for this, but bad for something else. You either want this or this, but having both? With the electro mobility coming into the game, the possibilities will become endless. Someone may just need enough software to control the harmony of two or maybe even more power sources.
The everyday race car of the future will be what? Emotional, aggressive, small and nimble. When cars are getting bigger and bigger people seek the opposite. But how does this all fit together? Lightweight and electro mobility? Hybrid systems that are not getting complex? The perfect car doesn’t exist.
See you next time!
