I finally made it to the Nordschleife again! I know, it’s been a while. But what can I say? There was just no real time window that seemed to be suitable for a visit. But this time it was different though. The race wouldn’t be crowded, the weather perfect and I wanted to drive my gf to Frankfurt anyways. So here we go. My friend arrived in the morning at 8 am on Sunday. We jumped into my car and drove to the track. The autobahn was mainly free, so we arrived there 40 minutes before the actual google maps time. And that’s on a 290 km trip 😎. We parked our car and went to the ticket store. Well, parking costs 10 euros, the entry 25, but I think it’s still kind of ok. We checked out the paddock where we met a friend from the back in the days university racing team and checked out the cars upfront. After that we watched the race start from the start and finish line before we drove to Brünchen for the evening stroll up and down the mountains before going home. The drive home was kind of good again. Just one small traffic jam. But driving in Frankfurt to drive my gf home was a real struggle! You have no clue how much I hate big cities. This is pure stress for me. But anyways. I was back at home at 7 pm, packing my stuff and going to sleep, so that I would get up at 4 am and drive to Ingolstadt for work.

See you next time!
