Has motorsport become too expensive? I mean, seriously! Motorsport was always a very expensive thing to do. Throughout the history this was one of those kind of hobbies were you can spend all your money in a blink of an eye. But at least from my point of view as a spectator this world has changed. Racing has become ultra expensive. So expensive, that not many people can afford it. The smaller teams disappear. OEM’s slow down their motorsport programs and so what is left are big racing teams with big sponsors. Good for them! But what about the entry level racing? What about that? Well, as it seems, it will die out! Not because of environmental discussions, but because of a lack of interest into the topic. There will be lesser cars at the events, eventually this will lead to less money, less live streams, less visitors, less money, less motorsport.
