We all know the struggle… Who goes into a workshop believing that something will actually become better after talking about it? Seriously, was there ever a workshop in the history of mankind that actually improved the team spirit and efficiency? I would like to have one of those, honestly. Because when we are usually getting invited for workshop this means just that, feel free to add another 3 hours of meetings to your already pretty busy schedule.
Do workshops work? Sure, the getting together, the talking about issues and problems, this is all fine and good. It’s important to notice what is going wrong. This is always the first step of solving problems. The only problem is the way we try to solve problems in the business world. We think adding some meetings to the schedule actually increases the team communication when it’s quite the opposite in reality. What we need are real solutions. Not scheduled time to talk about it.
See you next time!
