It’s finally here! The “facelifted” Audi RS3. Or as we would say it at Audi, the Produkt Aufwertung (PA) of the RS3 is here. I have been waiting for this car for around 8 months! Will the newer version be better than the old one? What will they change? What will be still the same? A lot of questions were running through my mind the past months. That I am looking for a new car isn’t a secret. I was looking for a Porsche to be exact! Of course I was looking for a Porsche! But things have changed in recent months. I have a new lifestyle now! I need to drive to Audi whenever necessary, I have a girlfriend, I might move somewhere else in the near future. And with all those things running around in my head, the 911 is not really the car to go. Especially not with these days Porsche prices. That’s why I had to change the requirements that I have regarding my next car. And well, let’s see if the new RS3 can meet them!
- Everyday car –> summer and winter, safe in every weather condition
- Small dimensions –> No problem in narrow car parks, cities, small streets
- Performance –> Pleasure of driving
- Usability –> Place for 5 people, luggage, able to transport my bicycle
- Introverted exterior design –> I want to stay below the radar
Looking at the new RS3 considering these points, we could argue that Audi was using exactly those requirements when creating the RS3 concept. It’s for me the definition of the every day sports car that doesn’t only drive perfectly but can also offer the usability of a normal car. Agreed, I would definitely not get the car in a fancy green color, but maybe a dark blue or black will suit the car perfectly! Let’s wait for the car configurator to be online, then we can spec up some nice RS3’s.
See you next time!
