With me understanding my health problems better, doing sport again is only the next logical step. But, and this is important to emphasize on, I shouldn’t jump right into it, blasting all my energy out. No! I need to start with moderate steps. Baby steps even. The goal is to use the sport as an additional health benefit, not as another problem my body needs to focus on. That’s why I focus on a little bit of cardio, stretching, muscle work and cooling down.
Walking on the treadmill. 6 km/h, 2% inclination for 30 minutes is my regular warm up. It’s helping me to burn some calories, have some movement in my body and helps to relax. After that I do some muscle training, focusing on low weights and more repetitions. I focus on the whole body, just trying to get some muscle work done. After that I do my stretching and cool down. Which includes some time to calm even more down and relax.
In between this main sport event once a day, I do my Qigong and tai chi, which is also some kind of a sport activity but focuses on your breath work and moving your body in flow.
Let’s see how this works.
See you next time!
