The “Franken Classics” is an oldtimer rally that takes place around June every year in the region I live. If I was checking out the cars? Of course! I always try to do two things. The first one is to pick a location where the cars will be parked up so that you can have a closer look, and the second that I drive the opposite direction of their route, so that you see the cars in action.

Of course the location I chose was the local Porsche dealership.

It’s always nice to see that Porsche actually cares about their heritage.

Can’t believe that the first 993 models are already 30 years old.

How often do you see a Ferrari inside a Porsche dealership?

The cars would come, depending on their age and therefore starting number, from old to newer. It’s always interesting to see how an old Bugatti from the 1930 looks so different from a 1950s car. Unfortunately the weather wasn’t really on our side. It was raining every 20 minutes, making this early June day in 2025 looking more like an early April day… It was cold and uncomfortable. That’s why we wouldn’t spend too much time there. After one hour or so we would already go home again.
See you next time!
