It’s not Sunday today when I write these words. But you know the game by now. Social media is fake. Everything is fake. Life is a big show with us playing the role we want to play. Today I want to talk about social media. For me personally I have figured out that I don’t want to do it any more. Interestingly this is coming from a person that is posting about his thoughts, worries and problems on a regular basis online. But believe me, writing this blog is something else. People are not willing to invest the time of reading stuff! They want the easy information! Watching reals and videos online. Short term dopamine! No-one is seeking this through reading an online blog. Or at least not many. Instead of cutting off from social media completely, I started by not opening the apps any more. For one week I am instagram free. I put the app in a folder on my phone that I can hardly reach. I notice the need to check my phone. I take my phone and unlock it! But then I can stop myself. I don’t find insta on my Home Screen and that’s the moment when I understand what is going on. That’s when I break through my routine and stop! It’s funny how addicted we all are.
