We think so we are. We breathe so we are alive.

We are human beings after all. Humans, not machines. We have a body to move and a brain that gives us the ability to think. But there is more. A lot more.

Getting born is a challenge. Picking the right family not really our choice. An uneven start, an unfair advantage, call it faith, call it destiny.

Being alive means having a responsibility. Not to everyone else, but to your own body. We have to maintain our physic, eat, drink and breathe the air that gives us the oxygen that we need.

Who taught us to breathe? Who taught us what to eat. Where is the god damn instructions manual that no-one would read.

Being alive means having a choice. We can be whoever we want to be. We can do whatever we want to do. At least as long as we stay within the norms and rules of the society we live in. But rules can get bent. Norms can change. Define the new standard.

Being alive means having a life. Doing something with that life.

Still being alive means having a chance for change. It’s not too late! It’s never too late!
