Wehrpflicht.

The military service is back in the game, or should I say news. A country like Germany needs more soldiers. I guess that’s clear to everyone who knows how the system worked in recent years. Nobody and I repeat, nobody would even consider going there. No wonder they have only like 15.000 recruits a year. From which not many stay, do they? Well, the politicians wanted to change that and they will change it. The method of getting more recruits was rather German like I would say. When have we lost our ability to just do the right things? But anyways. The questionable lottery election method is off the table. At least something.

Looking back, I really have not considered the military. Why should I? It would have stopped me on my way towards becoming an engineer. Would I have learned some military stuff? Yes! Would I be willing to invest my time? Not really. On a voluntary basis it just wasn’t an option for me.
