Now that I have three weeks off, I can invest more time into my newest hobby. Learning how to fly a helicopter in the simulator. After years of flying airplanes, it was about time for something new. Well, no, not really! I was always amazed by helicopters. They have something magically, I don’t know how to describe. They always fascinated me. But my first contacts in the simulator were rather disruptive. Trying to fly a helicopter with a keyboard or small setup is possible, but not really fun. It’s rather an uncontrolled adventure where surviving becomes a 50:50 thing. Well, I kept on trying and got better, but the real joy started only after buying a professional helicopter control setup. Now I can actually control the helicopter and fun fact, I can also use the controls for airplanes and enjoy them even more.

In my Christmas break I have a clear goal. I want to make a lot of progress with my flying skills on the microsoft flight simulator 2024.
