#832² SORRY, BUT NOT SORRY – S1 E2 – PRESSURE IN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

We better do not even go there! It doesn’t matter! We can’t change it anyways!

Well, where do we start? Generally speaking, school is a good idea! You go there, you learn something, you go home, you do your home work, you try to be a kid for a couple of hours and then go back to work the next day. Oh, sorry! I meant, back to school, of course. Kids these days, OMG! They experience so much pressure! What the hell is wrong with us!? These are kids! Kids!!! I repeat! Kids! For Christs sake! What does it matter!? How old are they? 6? 7? 8? 9? 10? They have to learn their whole damn life! Where is the point in destroying their youth?

God, we haven’t even started and the topic is already so sad.

Sad?! Come on! It’s so important in life, isn’t it? Kids just have to learn hard and long in order to get a higher education. They have to study! To become someone! And indeed, every idiot seems to study these days. But what does very ambitious kids do not really understand is this: Not every kid is made for studying! There are so many other ways how to get through life! And sure, if your kid have their first burnout in elementary school, good job! Congratulations! They will definitely not become the next CEO. Let’s face it, this system is stupid!

All that stress for an average 9 – 5 job?

But it’s not only the pressure and the high expectations. No! It’s also the way things are getting taught. Sitting there in the classroom on uncomfortable chairs for ages can’t be the state of the art! This is the 17th century my friends! The way pupils learn at school is wrong. The topics are not relevant. But why do I even care? I am done with school! I can leave this all behind.

Sometimes I wonder what seems to be wrong with us. We pretend to be so clever but still fail to see the easiest of things right in front out eyes. Or do we just look away? Pretending not to see the problem?

Well, at least you can teach your kids at home how things work in this life.

See you next time!
