If not you, then who?
It rhymes, fantastic! But it’s true, life is all about you! May I stop this rhyming nonsense? I better do that! But the message is clear! We all have to work on ourselves, constantly.
Life long learning, bla, bla, bla…
Of course the learning never stops! But do we even learn the right stuff? Nobody is talking about that! Of course we can learn so much in life! We can learn to fail, learn to become short minded, learn to waste our time, learn to make stupid mistakes and the list goes on and on.
But at the end of the day, I rather learn nothing then doing the wrong stuff! And indeed, that seems to be the general mindset. People just live into their days, wasting their time and do what the society expects from them. But come on, we are different, aren’t we?
Working on yourself shouldn’t be one of those phrases you spot on overdramatic calendars or fancy decoration articles for the modern business housewife. No! It should be our daily mantra. A reminder for the really important things in life.
I could go on like this forever, but that will not change the meaning of my words! If you don’t want to work on yourself and do not want to invest the resources that it takes, well, at least don’t complain when others are overtaking you, because they will! Automatically! That’s just a matter of time!
