#1266² THE ROAD TO MY FIRST PORSCHE – S1 E9 – DRIVING IT IN WINTER?

A couple of weeks ago I made a post about having a seasonal license plate. I thought that this would be the way to go. Just driving the car in summer and when the weather is good. But having driven quite a lot in the last couple of days, I had time to think. Wouldn’t it be even more practical if I have only one car in the future? Just imagine how stupid it would feel to own a Porsche but not being able to drive it all those month during winter. I had this with my motorcycle in the past, it felt horrible!

But what is the alternative? Driving the car all year around? Hell yeah! Agreed, the car is made to be driven. Why should I own another car when in fact I don’t want to own a winter car in the first place? And honestly, there are no real winters here. We hardly get any snow. The temperature is not very often below the 0 degree mark. And if the weather is really not drivable, well, then I just stay at home? What about that? I don’t want to decide about this today, of course it depends on the kind of 911 I will buy, but it’s definitely something to consider. I just need winter tires and that’s it. Honestly, I think this is the way to go. At least for the first couple of years. I can get another car in the future as well.

See you next time!
