#1692² COLLECTING INFORMATION

I am working for Audi for over 4 months already. Four months in which I have learned more, then even before. No, honestly, that’s not just a sentence to say. In fact I had to learn so many things, sometimes I wonder how much more there is still waiting for me. But with all that information flying in, we have to document it somewhere, right? Exactly! And that’s the process I want to talk about today. What is the best way to document information? Of course that is different for each and everyone of us. But there needs to be some general rules.

I work with two methods. The first is that I document everything in a word sheet that acts as a documentation of processes, information and good to know hints and tips. It’s structured, but you can also use the word search function to get going. The other is an excel sheet in which I have project based knowledge that needs to be kept up to date and always in sight. I have worked on this process for many years already, having the luxury to have seen quite some different departments and jobs in my previous companies. That’s why my method is already pretty good! Ok, there is still room for improvements, but the basis is really good!
