#348 Racing is life – S4 E1 – THE ROAD INTO MOTORSPORT – Introduction

What does it take to become an amateur race car driver? What kind of skills do you need? How much money? How much time? How much motivation? But also, how do you get there? What do you need to do? Which challenges are laying in front of you? Which obstacles do you need to overcome?

THE ROAD INTO MOTORSPORT

This is the new season in the Racing is life category of my blog. The road into motorsport, a dream, a lot of people have. But we? We are not satisfied with dreaming! We can’t stop after dreaming! We go all the way!

A dream can’t stay a dream forever! We want more! We want to fulfill our dreams.

Living the dream!

That motorsport is expensive, I guess I don’t need to tell you this. But in case you haven’t really thought about it, I guess you will be amazed how expensive it is.

This series, definitely not talking about professional racing in terms of becoming the next formula one champion one day. We are talking about ambitious sports car drivers, weekend warriors, gentleman drivers. We want to get started in racing, sure, but without spending 150k € on a karting season, or some 1.3 million on a formula 3 season.

Racing is life! But racing is expensive and life as well!

This season is for you and me. The normal people! It doesn’t matter how much money you earn, how old you are, or what you are doing for a living. It’s never too late to start doing the thing you truly love to do.

Follow your dreams!

This season will be for everyone. The beginner, the intermediate, the professional. We will talk about the training, the money, the mindset and all the other things that are important on your journey.

Becoming a race car driver, sure, it is a lot of work. But if we do not try, we will never figure out if we are just dreamers, or in fact really got what it takes to reach our goal.

Everything is just that, a process. One step after the other. One race after the other. One session after the other.

Want to start with doing motorsport? This might be interesting for you! Stay tuned!

See you next time!
