#504 Tiny Mind – S1 E2 – CONTROLLING DREAMS

I have a dream that one day …

We all know this speech, right? But what if this day is today? What if today is your day?

Dreams, we all have them! Most likely when we are asleep. For example at work or at night. But then, something happens. We wake up!

Dreams, do you have them? Like every single day? Or just once in a while? And what do you dream about? A better life? A better version of yourself? Being the hero that saves the hot blonde from falling to the ground?

Dreams, we all just have them. But what comes after the dream? What comes after dreaming?

After the dream is before the dream. In life, it seems like we are just doomed to dream. We dream and dream and dream.

But this blog is not about your sleeping cycle, isn’t it? Are you still dreaming? Or are you already chasing after your dreams?

When dreams and dreams merge together.

On a personal level, I do not just dream anything. I dream about my own life. By coincidence? At the beginning, yes. But these days, I have mastered it.

In the night, your brain goes through your day a second time. Processing stuff, sure, we have all heard about that one! Well, I am not a neurologist and can not explain why, but that doesn’t seem to be that important anyways.

A couple of years back in time, I figured out that we can control our dreams. We can decide upon what will appear.

Believing in the “LAW OF ATTRACTION” theory myself, I thought that it would be an awesome idea, to not only use my waking minutes to attract certain things into my life, but also the time sleeping. I guess that’s the engineers mindset coming through.

And so, I started to seek for the maximum efficiency in my law of attraction thing. I would not only spend the time between getting up and falling asleep, but also the time being asleep. Sounds like a good idea, doesn’t it?

But how can we do that? If you do not know what the law of attraction is all about, well, this would be your first task. But after that, I guess you already know the answer!

In order to attract something into your life, it’s not enough that you want something. You need to truly believe, that you already have it. Sounds kind of impossible, right? But actually works pretty good.

It’s no secret that I am a Porsche enthusiast. That a 911 is the thing for me! But this car is not just somewhere hanging on the wall. Sure, it’s also hanging on the wall. But it’s also a part of me. A part of my identity. A part of who I am. A part of how I define myself. I do not only dream about a Porsche. I dream about the exact Porsche I want. But the car is not just there, somewhere, appearing from time to time. I already own it.

Sounds crazy? I know. Like I brainwashed myself. Well, in fact. I did exactly that! I literally brainwashed myself. I have deleted all unimportant thoughts and ideas in my head and instead started to focus only on the things that I have defined to be important.

I basically did the same, terrorists or radical religious people do. They just start to narrow down the bubble they are living in, until there are just a couple of thoughts and believes left. That’s basically what social media algorithms are doing. They give you more of what you like and less of what you don’t like.

It’s like living in an endless loop, that will just show you the same stuff day in and day out.

Der Mensch ist, was er isst.
People are, what they eat.

Ludwig Feuerbach

And I would say: You are, what you think. You are, what you believe in.

If you focus, like I do, on a handful of goals every single day. What do you think will happen? What people do not understand in this life, is that everything is just a process.

Lewis Hamilton was not born a race car drive, Michael Jorden not a basketball player and Usain Bolt not a sprinter. These three man have decided to become what they have become through continues effort. Through daily practice sessions!

The law of attraction is not a life hack. It’s just the logical consequence! Imagine doing 1000 pushups every day for the next 365 days. It doesn’t matter if you believe in the effect it will have or not. The effect will automatically be there. It’s in our nature! You can literally not do those 1000 pushups without growing muscles. Sure, maybe you are currently doing 5000 a day and will lose some muscles, but I highly doubt that!

If you are obsessed with something and allow it to become a part of your identity. Dreaming about this all the time is just the logical consequence.

But you want to know what you can do right now. Just pick one thing you want to dream about. Let’s take my Porsche 911 real quick. You change your background screen on your phone, laptop and co. to the car. You hang some wallpapers on the wall. You drive the car on a simulator. You look for prices and details. You read books about it. You think about where to put it, how much the insurance cost and how to clean it. You get one for a day and just drive it in real life. You take a small 911 scale model with you wherever you go. Looking at this every now and again. You thank, which ever higher power you believe in, for already getting it. You look at some pictures or a video right before going to bed.

And well, if you really do all of that, what do you think will happen? It’s like the daily 1000 pushups challenge. It doesn’t matter what you believe in, this is just a process. If this 911 will consume 10% of your brain activity a day, you will automatically do the things that will bring you closer to it. You will find likeminded people. You will talk about it all the time. You will do, what Porsche drivers will do. You will change the way you think.

You will transform your life. Reaching your goals will just become a matter of time!

Controlling your dreams? It’s definitely possible! But is it possible for you? Can you withstand the urge for giving up? To quit? To define this thing as nonsense?

Life is challenging! But don’t we like challenges?

Dream well!

See you next time!
