#363 A year of daily blogging – *Topic Week 9* – Day 4 – What have I learned?

2 DAYS UNTIL: ONE YEAR OF DAILY BLOGGING

With the countdown having already started, this topic week will be all about my daily blog.

The road map:

  • Day 1: Why do I do it?
  • Day 2: How do I do it?
  • Day 3: What should you know about daily blogging?
  • Day 4: What have I learned?
  • Day 5: How will the future look like?
DAY 6: ONE YEAR OF DAILY BLOGGING

DAY 4: WHAT HAVE I LEARNED?

An interesting question to ask. Sure, I learned a lot. But can I summarize that in such a way, that you will have a benefit from hearing this as well? Can I show you what you would have learned in case you had done the blog thing as well?

The first thing I should mention here is the fact, that I have learned that everything is possible in life.

EVERYTHING IS POSSIBLE!

One year ago, I had no clue that I would have my own blog in the future. I wouldn’t have spent a single second thinking about the fact that I would improve so much in the next couple of weeks and months to come. But you are right of course, that is not really getting us anywhere. Sure, we all have heard about these fancy statements and quotes people are hanging all over their apartment-walls and houses. But do we really understand the meaning of these things? Do we really get the message?

During the last year I understood something about myself, that I thought I would already pretty much understand. Well, as always in life, we think that we are already exceptionally good at something but later on figure out that we are not even close to being good. Does that make any sense to you?

You are holding your own faith in your own hands!

But what does that really mean? It means exactly that! Your action or non-action will guide you through life. Haven’t I started this blog project a year ago, I would not have it today, sounds logical. Sure, but even more importantly, I wouldn’t have learned all these things!

Writing a daily blog is a great way how to learn. Starting from a marketing and product oriented point of view you need to be creative, consistent, motivated and deal with problems and miserable days that will definitely come your way. This is one of the best ways how to get to know yourself and understand how you are trying to solve issues and problems that are coming your way.

You need to create something out of nothing.

But even besides all of these “life lessons” I am talking about, I have learned so much more. Having a daily blog is like constantly reflecting on what you are doing. You will start to see the world with different eyes. You understand how much effort everything takes and wonder how others are doing these things in life. You start to ask more questions. You try to get to the point of something. You break down difficult tasks into tiny, tiny pieces you can easily do.

Everything is just a process.

The difference between who you are today and who you will become in the future is just that. The path you will take, the decisions you will take, the things you will invest your time on.

I learned that I know nothing. I learned that life experience is something more important than your degree in engineering or whatever you have. Every day is another chance to improve, to grow, to get stronger. But if you do not use your chances, well, it will be your fault in the end!

Writing a daily blog is the ultimate learning machine. It will instantly bring you back down on the ground and shows you how small and unimportant you are. Sure, in your life everything seems to be turning around you, but if you have a different point of view on this world, nobody even knows who you are!

WHAT HAVE I LEARNED? I LEARNED THAT I KNOW NOTHING!

See you next time!
