When we stop dreaming, we are lost. There will be nothing worth fighting for. Nothing to hold on to. Nothing that keeps us pushing through.
In life, we have goals to reach. We have something that keeps us going. Building a house, owning a sports car, or whatever it is you desire. The moment we stop chasing after our dreams, we are lost. We will never be able to leave our current plateau.
When looking at this thing we call life, there can not be a real guide towards success. Sure, we can copy the paths of others, taking the very same steps. But at the end of the day, this will just never be the same.
Having dreams is important. Having dreams is the key element in the equation. Do you have dreams?
Sometimes I wonder, when has the human race started to dream? When have we started to formulate what we want? When have we actively started on chasing after our dreams?
But a dream can be much more than that. A dream can also be an illusion. A scenario that only exists in our heads. A story that will never be the same in reality. When we sleep, sometimes we dream. We experience the greatest adventures. We can be whoever we want to be. We can do whatever we want to do. We can enjoy the present moment.
But can we decide on what we want to dream? Can we design our dreams? Can we define how our dreams should look like?
I say that we can. I am convinced, that we can have an influence on our dreams. I experience it with myself, why should it be different with you.
I am not the average guy. I have ambitious goals. But nevertheless, I have learned to use even time sleeping for my advantage. And you, well, you can do the same.
Having dreams, in both interpretations, is a good thing. But connecting them to each other will be the ultimate goal. This will make whatever you desire more real. You will be close to having it already.
The only question left, how do we get there? How do we start to influence our dreams? The answer might be surprisingly easy. If you focus on certain field only, day in, day out. Your mind will not even have a chance to dream about something else. That stuff just needs to show up! Combining that with some pictures you will go through directly before sleep and in fact, you will start to dream about it. Maybe not all the time at the beginning and definitely not on the first day. But after a while.
The key is to create a bubble around you, blocking all the outside factors that are not relevant for you and your goals you want to reach. Some people call it naive, some people call it small minded. But the truth is, if you want to become exceptionally good at something, what do you have to do? More of that and less of other things?
Don’t be afraid to dream. Don’t be afraid to reach for the stars. It will be worth it! I promise!
